Things You'll Need
Instructions
Place a stiff cardboard backing into a polymer collector's bag. You can purchase polymer bags and backing relatively cheaply at a comic book shop or some hobby stores. Generic polymer will do, though Mylar is the standard in the comic book industry because it is known to keep comics safer for up to a hundred years, as opposed to the two or three years of a generic polymer.
Slide your comic book into the polymer bag and close the top flap, sealing it with a strip of clear tape. Place the tape along the entire length of the flap to prevent air from getting in. If you intend to maintain the comic without taking it from the bag, or you want to store it for a long time, use a blow dryer to melt the flap seam.
Place your comic in a comic storage box, available at comic stores or hobby stores. You can place the comic in an upright position, leaning against other comics, or separate each with a cardboard piece.
Store your comic in a cool, dry place. Keep it away from direct sunlight, which fades the ink color.
