Visit the auction site ComicConnect.com and post your old comic books online. Recently the winning bid for the 1938 edition of Action Comics No. 1 sold for $317, 200. (The cover features Superman lifting a car.) Receive bids from other comic book collectors all across the country. Dealers of rare comic books are always searching for rare copies and even in a tough economy will pay top dollar.
**Premier books**
Selling your highest priced comic books can be difficult. Collectors are competing at all times. Only about 100 copies of the Action Comic No. 1 are known to exist. Rarely do they ever come up for sale. Review the comic book auction websites on a regular basis. Join the website for free. Provide your name, address and email address. Create a password and you are ready to join the online community of comic book collectors.
**Comic books and the economy**
Look through your attic and garage. Find an old comic book and have it appraised. In a booming economy the 1938 edition of Action Comics would have gone for $100,000 more, but who couldn't use $317,200? Ask your parents and grandparents if they have any old boxes that you can look through. You never know what you might find.
