Things You'll Need
Instructions
Use a frame that is large enough to house all of your shark teeth while leaving at least an inch of space around the perimeter of each tooth.
Remove the cardboard backing from the frame and lay it on a flat surface. Measure it and cut a piece of batting to fit it.
Use fabric glue to attach the batting to the cardboard backing of your display frame. Allow the glue to dry for 10 to 20 minutes.
Lay a piece of velvet on a table or counter so that the smooth side is face down. Place the cardboard backing with the batting face down on top of the velvet.
Wrap the edges of the velvet tightly around the back of the frame and cut off any excess fabric. Attach the velvet to the cardboard backing with a staple gun.
Cut a length of wire for each of your shark teeth. The wire should be long enough to wrap around the base of the tooth twice and have four inches left over.
Lay out your teeth on the velvet backdrop before wrapping them with wire. Move the teeth around so that you get the best arrangement of space. Make a mark under the placement of each tooth with a piece of chalk so you know where to put the tooth once it has been wrapped.
Wrap each tooth with a coil of wire; the wire should be in a figure-eight pattern over the base of the tooth to hold it solidly.
Use a needle to poke a hole through each chalk mark to allow the wire to pass through to the back of the cardboard matting. Be careful not to damage the velvet while you make a place for each tooth.
Push the excess wire together and gently attach each tooth to the velvet. Once the wire has gone through to the back of the matting, wrap the two ends tightly together so that they will hold the tooth in place.
Attach each tooth according to the instructions in step nine. Place the backing, teeth attached, back in the wooden frame and secure it within the frame before hanging or displaying your shark tooth collection.
