How to Mount a Truglo Fiber-Optic Dot

Truglo dot scopes are designed to give you quick target acquisition by providing an illuminated dot that represents your bullet's point of impact. These scopes provide no magnification, but each houses an LCD light that can only be seen through the scope, and features a long eye relief so you can use it on handguns as well as shoulder-fired weapons. Truglo dot scopes are designed to mount on weaver-style rail mounts.

Instructions

    • 1

Check to be certain your weapon is unloaded before you begin installing the Truglo dot scope.

    • 2

Hold your scope so that the front faces forward. The retention screws at the base of the scope rings should be on the right side of your weapon.

    • 3

Unscrew the retention screws to widen the retention bracket at the base of the rings.

    • 4

Align the retention screws inside the slots that are cut across the rail mount, and align the sides of the bracket over the edges of the rail mount. Tighten the retention screws.
