How to Clean a Browning A-5 Sweet Sixteen

The Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen is a semiautomatic shotgun. This shotgun has a five-round capacity. The Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen was first manufactured in the earlier part of the 20th century. The Sweet Sixteen is the 16-gauge model of the A5. The other models manufactured were a 12-gauge and a 20-gauge. Cleaning a shotgun is very important and needs to be done in order to maintain the weapon.

Instructions

      Unload the gun if it is not already unloaded. Check both the chamber and magazine for ammunition. This step is very important for your safety.

      Pull the bolt toward the back of the gun and lock into place. Push the barrel of the gun to the back and unscrew the cap on top of the magazine. Remove the gun forearm and slide the barrel off the gun.

      Soak one of your cleaning rags with gun oil. Wipe the inside of the barrel using your gun cleaning rod and oil-soaked rag. Wipe down all the other parts of the gun with the rag.

      Put the gun back together by replacing the barrel and forearm.
