How to Remove a Makarov Extractor

Automatic pistols utilize the energy from a fired bullet to activate a series of parts which clear the chamber and set the next bullet in place. These parts include the extractor, which holds the chambered bullet in place by locking on the bullet's case rim. Many pistols feature this part, including the standard pistol favored by the Soviet Union in the 20th Century: the Makarov. Like any firearm, the Makarov requires regular disassembly and cleaning for optimal performance and safety. If needed, you can remove the extractor from a Makarov in a few steps.
