How to Polish a Krieghoff

The Krieghoff brand of hunting rifles is well known among gun collectors and hunters. The company began producing European hunting guns in 1886, but it wasn't until the 1950s that Krieghoff started manufacturing shotguns. The most popular Krieghoff models in the United States are the Model-32, the K-80 and the K-20. Maintaining the quality of your your Krieghoff rifle, or any rifle, is achieved through regular cleaning and inspection. Polishing your Krieghoff will protect it from rust and corrosion as well as maintaining its attractive appearance.

Things You'll Need

• Lint-free cloths
• Gun polish

     Check to make sure the rifle is unloaded. Remove any ammo clips and empty the chamber.

     Apply gun polish to lint-free cloth.

   • 3

     Rub polishing cloth over the entire rifle.

   • 4

     Allow polish to dry completely.

   • 5

     Buff polish to a shine using another clean, lint-free cloth.
