How to Zero a Burris 135 Red Dot Sight

Equipping your rifle with a Burris 135 Red Dot sight will help you acquire your targets quickly and accurately. The Burris 135 has no magnification quality, but it has a bright-red LED light that indicates your point of aim that is only visible when looking through the scope. The LED light will look exactly like a red laser beam. The use of a laser boresighter when zeroing in your Burris 135 Red Dot scope is strongly recommended.

Instructions

    • 1

Prepare a target at a distance of about 100 yards.

    • 2

Check to make sure that your weapon is unloaded. Attach the laser boresighter to the end of your rifle barrel and turn on your laser.

    • 3

Activate the Red-Dot scope by turning the light intensity dial to any number except zero. The numbers on the dial, in ascending order, control the brightness of the LED light.

    • 4

Aim at your target and notice the position of the LED light in relation to the laser. Align your point of aim (the LED light) with your laser beam (the rifle's point of impact). Remove the caps from the windage- and elevation-adjustment dials.

    • 5

Use your flathead screwdriver to turn the adjustment dials and align the LED with the laser beam. Rotate the elevation-adjustment dial on the top of the scope counterclockwise for "up" or clockwise for "down." Rotate the windage-adjustment dial on the right side of scope counterclockwise for "right "or clockwise for "left." Each click of the adjustment dials will move the Red-Dot 1/3 inch at a range of 100 yards.

Remove the laser boresighter and place the caps back on the scope.
