Difference Between Remington 572 & 121

Founded in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington, Remington Arms Company Inc. was initially headquartered in Illion, New York. This is an arms manufacturing company that over time has acquired many firsts and unique achievements. Remington is the oldest and only American company that has continuously manufactured both firearms and ammunition domestically. This is also the largest rifles and shotguns manufacturer in the U.S. Another unique achievement is that Remington Company has adapted and developed more cartridges than any other manufacturer of ammunition in the world.

An interesting fact about Remington rifles is that they are incorporated in the national emblem and flag of Guatemala.
  1. Remington Model 572

    • The Remington 572, also known as the Model 572 Fieldmaster, is a pump-action rifle very similar to the Remington 870. The barrel length of this riffle is 21 inches and the cartridge type it uses is .22 long rifle, .22 long and .22 short. The feed of the rifle is through a tubular magazine that has 15 to 20 rounds depending upon its cartridge size. Its ability to use three types of cartridges sets it in a class of its own when it's compared to other pump-action riffles of its time. This rifle has been in production for the last 50 years and is very popular as a small game gun.

    Remington Model 121

    • The Remington 121, also known as the Model 121 Fieldmaster, is a slide-action, 15-round, tubular-magazine-fed .22-caliber rifle manufactured by Remington from 1936 to 1954. There were about 199,891 such rifles manufactured by the Company. The barrel length of the rifle is 25 inches and it uses a tubular magazine with .22 long rifle, .22 short and .22 long. Differences Between Remington 572 and 121

    • The few basic differences between these two rifles are obvious. First, the Remington 572 is still in production, while the manufacturing of the Remington 121 was stopped in 1954. Second, the 572 is a pump-action rifle, while the 121 is slide-action. Third, the length of the barrel of 572 is 21 inches, while that of the 121 is 25 inches. Last, the tubular magazine of the 572 comes with 15 or 20 rounds, while that of the 121 has only 15.
