Tightening a Crossbreed Holster

Crossbreed holsters are typically worn inside the waistband; these holsters offer the option of tucking in your shirt over your weapon. Unlike conventional inside-the-waistband holsters -- which are attached directly to your pants -- Crossbreed holsters attach with metal clips. The clips provide a gap between your holster and your pants. The clips are adjustable, allowing you to adjust your holster to the desired cant.

Instructions

    • 1

Loosen the retention screws on the front of the holster with a Philips screwdriver. The screws must be loosened only to the point that the clips are movable.

    • 2

Insert the unloaded handgun into your holster, and put it on. Adjust the holster to whatever position feels most comfortable. Vertically align the holster clips at a 90 degree angle to your waistband. Remove the holster and the pistol; do not disturb the positions of the clips.

    • 3

Hold the clips in position with your non-dominant hand. Tighten the retention screws -- using the Philips screwdriver -- with your dominant hand.
