Sightmark Boresight: Recommended Replacement Batteries

Sightmark produces laser boresighters for the law enforcement, military and civilian shooting communities. Laser boresighters project a laser beam from your weapon's barrel to the bullet's point-of-impact, giving you a visual reference upon which to sight in your scope. Sightmark produces two varieties of boresighters: in-chamber bullet shaped and end mounted.
  1. In-Chamber Boresighter

    • Sightmark's in-chamber boresighter is designed in the shape of a cartridge and is placed into the chamber of the weapon. The boresighter sends a laser beam down the barrel and is available in numerous calibers. The boresighter can be powered with two different configurations of batteries: either two AG5 batteries or three AG3 batteries.

    Universal End-Mounted Boresighter

    • The Sightmark end-mounted universal boresighter attaches to the end of your rifle barrel and can be used with a variety of bores, ranging from .22 to .50 caliber. Universal boresighters are extremely practical if you have a number of firearms of different calibers that you wish to sight in. The universal boresighter is powered by three AG3 batteries.

    AG3 Batteries

    • AG3 batteries can be used in all varieties of Sightmark boresighters. An AG3 battery is 7.9 mm wide and 3.6 mm tall. The AG3 is a 1.5 volt battery and is available in disposable alkaline, rechargeable alkaline or lithium versions.

    AG5 Batteries

    • AG5 batteries can only be used in the in-chamber style of Sightmark boresighter. The AG5 is a slightly thicker battery with a diameter of 7.9 mm and a height of 5.4 mm. The AG5 is also a 1.5 volt battery and is available in disposable alkaline, rechargeable alkaline or lithium versions.
