How to Install Burris Scope Rings

Burris Optics produces quality scopes for rifles, shotguns and handguns. Burris also produces a full line of scope mounting rings for one inch and 33 mm diameter scopes. The scope rings are available for either dovetail or Weaver style mounting systems. Weaver rail mounts are common among military type weapons and are also often found on traditional rifles and shotguns.

Instructions

Dovetail Rings

  Insert the ends of the dovetail rings into the mounts with the rings parallel to the barrel.

  Twist the rings into place; the rings will seat into position.

  Remove the tops of the rings, place the scope into position and reinstall the tops.
Weaver Style Rings

  Loosen the retentions screws at the base of the rings and spread the brackets
- 5
  Place the rings onto the rail mount with the retention screws in the slots of the rail mount and the brackets over the sides of the rail. Tighten the retention screws.

  Take the tops of the rings off, put your scope into position and replace the tops.
