How to Remove the Front Grip on a Maadi AK-47

AK-47 rifles are perhaps the most recognizable assault weapons in the world. The AK-47 is simple to operate, reliable and easy to maintain. Variants of AK-47 rifles have been produced throughout the world, all using the same design. Maadi AK-47 rifles were produced in Egypt on Russian-made machinery, and are considered the closest version to the original Soviet rifle. Removing the front grip from your Maadi AK-47 rifle is a simple procedure that does not require any tools.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the rifle's magazine and check the chamber to make sure the weapon is unloaded.

    • 2

Pull down on the front end of the rifle cleaning rod, located beneath the barrel, and pull the rod forward. The rod will slide completely out.

    • 3

Move the gas cylinder locking switch, located on the right side of the weapon at the rear of the hand guard, upward. Lift the upper half of the front grip off the weapon.

    • 4

Slide the entire gas tube forward and lift the top half of the front grip off the barrel.

    • 5

Lift the fore-grip release switch, located at the front of the lower grip on the right hand side, and push the housing slightly forward. Remove the lower half of the front grip.
