Things You'll Need
Instructions
Set up a target at a range of 100 yards and set your rear peep sight for closer targets (use the sight with the larger aperture).
Load your rifle and take careful aim at the center of your target; the top of your front sight should be centered in the rear sight and aligned with the aiming point of your target. Fire three well controlled shots at your target and observe where the center of your shot group is in relation to where you where aiming.
Determine the necessary corrections necessary to align the shot group with the center of your target. If your elevation needs a correction of greater than 1.5 inches, you'll need to make an adjustment to the front sight. The front sight is adjusted by pressing down the sight's retention pin and rotating the sight one click for a movement of 1.5 inches. The elevation and windage adjustment wheels located on the rear sight adjust the sight .68 inches per click (these measurements are calibrated for 100 yards). Make the necessary adjustments and shoot another shot group at your target.
Make further adjustments as necessary.
