How to Convert a Military Holster to a Tactical Leg Holster for Beretta 9 mm

The standard military holster used with the Beretta M92 9 mm pistol is the M12 universal holster produced by Bianchi International. The holster can be used by right-handed or left-handed shooters, can be worn on the hip or as a tactical leg holster. To wear the holster as a tactical leg holster, it must be used in conjunction with a military pistol belt equipped with eye holes. You will also need a strap to secure the holster to your leg; if necessary you can modify a nylon rifle sling for this purpose.

Things You'll Need

  • M12 universal holster
  • Military pistol belt
  • Strap with buckle (1 to 1-1/2 inches wide)

Instructions

    • 1

Unsnap the two pistol belt retention wires on the back of the holster and bring them to the full upright position.

    • 2

Fasten your holster to your pistol belt by putting the hooks, at the end of the wires, through two adjacent eye holes on your pistol belt.

    • 3

Place your strap through the vertical slots on the back of the holster. Put on your pistol belt; the holster will naturally hang approximately halfway down your thigh. Buckle the strap to secure the holster to your leg. The strap should be secure, but loose enough so as not to interfere with your circulation.
