Mosin Nagant Pu Scope Installation

Installing a PU scope on your Mosin Nagant rifle will give it the feel of an authentic Soviet World War II sniper rifle. The PU scope was specifically designed for the Mosin Nagant and mounts on the left side of the receiver. Before you install your PU scope it is necessary to prepare your rifle by having screw holes drilled and taped on your receiver; professional installation by a competent gunsmith is strongly recommended. Before installing your PU scope, make sure that you rifle is unloaded.

      Separate the scope base from the scope mount. The PU scope is designed to be quickly removed or attached to your rifle.The scope mount is the part which is to be permanently attached to your rifle receiver. You can separate the scope base from the scope mount by unscrewing the large screw at the back of the mount.

      Align the holes on the scope mount with the screw holes on the left side of your rifle's receiver and secure it with the provided screws.

      Put the scope base back on the mount. Slip the lug on the front of the mount into the notch on the front of the base and shift the scope base into position. Tighten the large retention screw at the back of the mount to secure the base into position.
