Glock 38 Instructions

The Glock 38 is a compact pistol chambered for .45 GAP (Glock Automatic Pistol) ammunition. The pistol has the magazine capacity of eight rounds and features a 4-inch barrel. The compact pistol is only slightly smaller than the full-size G37 and is better suited for shooters with smaller hands. The ammunition was developed by Glock, hence the name, as a .45-caliber bullet that is slightly shorter than the traditional .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) but still retains the performance qualities of the larger bullet. The G38 is a reliable and simple-to-use weapon.

Instructions

    • 1

Point your unloaded G38 pistol in a safe direction and insert a loaded magazine into the magazine well at the bottom of the grip. Slide the magazine upward until it locks into place.

    • 2

Pull the slide assembly fully back and release it. As the slide moves forward, a bullet from the magazine will load into the chamber.

    • 3

Take aim by centering the blade of the front sight between the notch cut into the rear sight and aligning the sight with your target. As you hold your pistol, make sure that your hands are clear of the slide assembly. The slide assembly moves back and forth when the weapon is fired.

    • 4

Place your finger on the trigger, maintaining your aim, and squeeze the trigger until it fires. When the final bullet is fired, the slide assembly will lock in the back position.

    • 5

Reload your G38 by pressing the magazine release on the left-hand side of the weapon, removing the empty magazine, replacing it with a fresh one and pressing the slide release switch on the left-hand side of the weapon. Pressing the slide release switch will cause the slide to move forward and reload the weapon.
