How to Disassemble a .22

The Ruger .22-caliber LR handgun was created in 1949 by the Sturm, Ruger &Company. The low-cost, high-quality gun became the most popular .22-caliber pistol in history. The .22-caliber pistol comes in two models, the Mark III and the Mark III 22/45. Both have several variants but essentially operate and disassemble the same way. A new Ruger --- or one that has not been disassembled often --- may be very tight. Some steps might require considerable force to accomplish.
