Ankle Holsters
Ankle holsters are worn just above the ankle and strap your pistol to your leg. The holsters keep your weapon concealed beneath your trouser leg and are generally comfortable to wear. The disadvantage of an ankle holster is limited accessibility; you must reach down to your ankle in order to draw your pistol.
Shoulder Holsters
Shoulder holsters secure your pistol underneath your non-shooting arm and are excellent choices for concealing medium to large size handguns. The holsters allow easy access to your pistol and are comfortable to wear. The disadvantage of a shoulder holster is that you must wear a jacket or loose fitting shirt over the holster to keep it concealed; this can be a problem in warmer weather.
Belt Holsters
Concealable belt holsters are worn either on the belt and close to your body, or tucked inside of your pants. These holsters provide quick access to your weapon and good concealment. Belt holsters are designed to accommodate small to large sized handguns. Of course, the smaller the handgun, the easier it is to conceal.
Pocket Holsters
Pocket holsters are designed for small frame handguns and are completely concealable. These holsters are great choices for carrying a weapon during warmer weather. Pocket holsters are worn in the same manner as you would wear a wallet. The disadvantage of a pocket holster is that you're limited to carrying small-caliber weapons.
