How to Change a G19 Rear Sight

Changing the rear sight on your Glock G19 pistol can be done with a rear sight adjustment tool produced by Glock. The G19 pistol is a compact handgun chambered for 9 mm ammunition. The sight adjustment tool applies pressure to the sides of the rear sight and can be used to remove, install or to adjust your rear sight. Before changing the rear sight on your G19, made absolutely sure that the pistol is unloaded.

  Disassemble your Glock 19 pistol and separate the slide from the other parts.

  Place your slide onto the sight adjustment tool with the sight carrier directly over your rear sight. Turn the drive screw to move the sight carrier left, and continue until the sight clears the slide.

  Remove the rear sight and place the new one in its place. Turn the drive screw so that the new sight is moved into position.

  Remove the slide from the sight adjustment tool and reassemble your Glock 19.
