How to Disassemble Remington Guns

Remington rifles are very popular and used by sportsmen, hunters and law enforcement professionals worldwide. The most popular Remington rifles are the series 700 line. Remington model 700 rifles feature a removable bolt action, are available with synthetic or wooden stocks, and are produced for numerous calibers. The rifle consists of three major components and can be disassembled very quickly with only a flat head screwdriver. Before disassembling your Remington rifle, open the action and make sure that your rifle is unloaded.

     Engage the safety on the right side of the bolt handle. Lift the bolt handle to the full up position and pull the handle back, opening the action

   • 2

     Press the bolt release button that's located right in front of the trigger and slide the bolt assembly completely out of the rifle.

   • 3

     Turn over the rifle and use your screwdriver to unscrew the screws holding in the trigger guard and the main retention screw located in the center of the stock in front of the trigger guard. Separate the stock from the barrel and trigger assembly.
