Instructions for Mounting a Scope on an Air Rifle

Air rifles are weapons commonly used for target practice or small-game hunting; improve your accuracy by mounting a scope to your rifle. Slots are cut in the top of most air rifles rifle for the purpose of mounting a 3/8-inch scope base. The majority of air rifle scopes come with a 3/8-inch mount preinstalled.

      Unscrew the mounting screws on the base of your scope mount. The screws must be loose enough to spread apart the bottom of the mount. Do not completely remove the screws.

      Put the left lip of the mount base into the left slot on the top of your air rifle. Place the right lip into the right slot.

      Hand-tighten the mounting screws, securing the scope-mount to the air rifle.
