How to Install a Pearce Grip & Magazine Extender on a Glock 19

Installing a Pearce grip and magazine extender on your Glock 19 magazine serves two purposes. It increases the capacity of your magazine and it also provides you greater surface on the grip. The magazine extender is easy to install and requires only a small screwdriver. The Pearce grip and magazine extender is compatible with all models of Glock magazines, not only the Glock 19. Before installing the extension, make absolutely sure that your Glock 19 is unloaded and remove the magazine.

  Hold the magazine upside down and place your screwdriver in the hole, near the front of the floor plate on the bottom of the magazine. Press down with your screwdriver until the floor plate releases and slides slightly forward.

  Slide the floor plate forward and off the magazine. While removing the floor plate, keep your thumb over the end of the magazine to prevent the magazine spring from escaping.

  Place the internal piece of the extension onto the magazine spring and press it down so that it is below the sides of the magazine. Slide the external piece of the magazine extender onto the front on the magazine, where the original floor plate was, until it locks into place.
