Mosin Nagant rifles were the primary rifles used by the Soviet army during World War II. Surplus Mosin Nagant rifles are very popular among American shooters. The rifle is a bolt-action and is extremely accurate. The rear sight on a Mosin Magant rifle is a ladder sight that is adjustable for range. The sight is held in position with a retention pin that secures the sight to the barrel. Before working on your rifle, check to make absolutely sure that the weapon is unloaded.
