How to Accept a Detachable Magazine on a SKS

The SKS rifle was the main Soviet battle rifle before it was replaced by the AK-47. Surplus SKS rifles are relatively inexpensive and readily available to American shooters. The rifle was created with a 10-round magazine that was not designed to be replaced as a method of reloading the weapon. However, the magazine was designed to be quickly removed for the purpose of cleaning the weapon. You can use detachable, high-capacity magazines that are specifically designed to mimic the original magazine.
