C Model Glocks
Several models of Glock pistols are available as "C" models. These pistols are equipped with compensated barrels and specialized slides. Glock C models have two slots cut into the top of the barrel and the top of the slide, both near the front of the weapon. The slots divert the gases produced when the weapon is fired, producing a downward force that compensates for the upward force produced by the gun's recoil. The compensation helps you keep your pistol on target, especially during rapid fire.
Grips
Glock handguns feature lower receivers that are made from a tough polymer plastic. You can enhance your control of the pistol by adding rubberized grips to enhance the existing grip. The current generation of Glock pistols have finger grooves molded into the front of the grip. Rubber overlay grips are available that wrap the surface of the grip and are secured by an adhesive. Previous generations of Glocks had straight grips with no finger groups. Rubber grips are also available for these older models; these grips slide over the surface, much like a rubber band, and provide a firmer grip and finger grooves.
Laser Sights
The accuracy of your Glock handgun can be improved by adding a laser sight. Rear-mounted laser sights are installed at the top of the grip and are activated by the pressure of your hand against the back of the pistol. The laser beam is directed from the back of the pistol parallel to the barrel and is adjustable for elevation and windage.
Flashlight Attachments
The current generation of Glocks has mounting grooves cut into the lower receiver just in front of the trigger. These mounting grooves can be used to install a small LCD flashlight. These flashlights are powerful and can be quickly installed, or removed, as necessary. An advantage of having a detachable flashlight is that it still allows you to use a conventional holster, while at the same time giving you a quick access to a flashlight.
