How to Adjust the Pull on a Remington Trigger

The Remington model 700 line of rifles are precision bolt-action rifles that feature the Remington X-Mark Pro trigger. The X-Mark Pro trigger system gives you the option of adjusting the amount of pressure required to fire the trigger. The trigger pull can be adjusted by manipulating a small setscrew that is located on the inside of the trigger's surface. The setscrew is adjusted using a hex key that is supplied with the rifle. Before adjusting your trigger, make absolutely sure that the weapon is unloaded.

     Dry fire your rifle to determine how you would like to adjust the trigger pull. Find the small setscrew located on the trigger's inner surface and insert the provided hex key.

     Decrease the amount of required pull by turning the screw clockwise; conversely, increase the amount of trigger pull by turning the key counterclockwise.

     Take out the hex key and test the trigger. Continue the process until the trigger pull is set to your satisfaction.
