How to Mount a Weaver Scope

Weaver scope-rings are designed to attach to a Weaver rail-mount; these mounts are commonplace among military-type weapons and a large number of sporting guns. The only tool required is a 7/16-inch Allen wrench, which is usually supplied with your scope rings. Check to make sure that your weapon is unloaded before mounting your Weaver scope.

Instructions

    • 1

Attach the scope rings to your Weaver mount by loosening the retention screws at the base of the rings. Widen the scope-ring brackets, place the brackets over the sides of the rail-mount and tighten the retention screws.

    • 2

Remove the tops of the scope-rings by rotating the screws on both sides of the ring; use the supplied Allen wrench. Place your Weaver scope on the rings. Replace the tops, but do not completely tighten the screws.

    • 3

Position your scope so you have sufficient eye relief and a clear sight picture. Your cross hairs must appear directly straight both vertically and horizontally. Finish tightening your screws when the crosshairs are positioned.
