Super Blackhawk Scope Mount Instructions

The Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver is single-action handgun chambered for the powerful .44 magnum bullet. The weapon was designed primarily for hunting and long-range shooting. The Super Blackhawk is produced with mounting grooves pre-milled into the barrel, and comes equipped with scope rings and all the tools required. Having your scope directly mounted onto the barrel ensures sight stability and compensates for the large amount of recoil produced by the weapon. Before you mount a scope to your Super Blackhawk, check the cylinder and make absolutely sure that the revolver is unloaded.

Instructions

    • 1

Loosen the mounting screws on the left side of the scope ring bases and spread the mounting tabs. Position the scope rings on the barrel with the tabs aligned on the barrel grooves and tighten the ring bases.

    • 2

Separate the tops of the scope rings by removing the retention screws on both sides of the top halves of the rings. Put your scope in position and put the tops back on, but do not completely tighten the rings.

    • 3

Adjust the position of the scope for proper eye relief and a clear sight picture, with the crosshairs appearing straight horizontally and vertically. When the scope is positioned to your satisfaction, finish tightening the screws.
