Ultradot advanced aiming systems produces a variety of scopes and holographic sights for handguns, including the government model 1911 pistol. All Ultradot scopes come with weaver-style scope rings compatible with a weaver-style rail mount. The 1911 pistol requires you to install a weaver-style rail mount. The mount installation requires you to drill and tape your pistol's lower receiver, which can damage the weapon or cause personal injury if performed incorrectly. For this reason, have a competent gunsmith install the mount.

Loosen the mounting screws located at the base of the scope rings using a screwdriver, and widen the mounting bracket.

Place the scope on the rail mount. The rail mount has slots cut across its surface; you must place the mounting screws within these slots.

Position the sides of the mounting bracket over the sides of the rail mount, and tighten the mounting screws securely.
