How to Mount a Scope on a Remington Model 66

The Remington Model 66 is a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle produced with a nylon stock and receiver and was manufactured from 1959 to 1991. According to firearms writer and expert Chuck Hawks, the Model 66 is considered to be one of the most popular Remington .22 caliber rifles ever made and is generally considered ahead of its time for its innovative use of a synthetic stock. The rifle came standard with open sights and grooves cut into the sides of the upper receiver to allow for the installation of a scope.
