How to Mount Scope in Seekins Precision Rings

Seekins Precision rings are heavy-duty scope rings made for use with rail mounts. The rings are made of steel and feature a slimline clamping system designed to prevent snags. The clamps are held in place by six hex screws (three on either side) as opposed to the two found on most scope rings. Seekins rings also use the same type of hex screws to mount the rings to the rail mount as opposed to rings that utilize knobs that are tightened by hand.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the screws from the top of the rings and separate the tops. Place the bottoms in line with the mounting screws (on the base) facing right as seen from the back.

    • 2

Place your scope onto the rings. Place the top halves back on and partially tighten the screws (the scope should be able to move).

    • 3

Loosen the mounting screws at the base of the rings and spread out the right side of the mounting bracket. Place the rings on the rail mount with the mounting brackets over the sides of the rail mount. Tighten the mount screws.

    • 4

Arrange your scope so that you have sufficient eye relief and the desired sight picture. Position the scope so the reticles (crosshairs) appear directly vertical and horizontal, when viewed through the scope. Finish tightening the clamp screws
