Things You'll Need
Instructions
Shoulder Holsters
Insert your arm or arms through the shoulder strap or straps so that the holster is on the side of the body you use the most. If you are right-handed then it will go on the right side of your body and vice versa if you're left-handed.
Adjust the straps so they lay flat around your shoulders, shoulder blades and chest. This will ensure the lines aren't apparent under your shirt.
Position the holster so that you can easily lift a gun out of it with your dominant hand in an emergency situation. Practice drawing the gun and make adjustments accordingly.
Hip Holsters
Slide a belt through the belt loops of your pants and when you reach the side where you want the holster, slip the end of the belt through the slot on the backside of the holster. Position the holster on the dominant side of your body.
Buckle the belt tight. Adjust the holster so that it doesn't rub on the side of your body as you walk.
Wear a jacket or loose shirt over the holster to conceal it from view.
Ankle Holsters
Pull up your the pant leg on the dominant side of your body. Wrap the holster belt around your ankle and fasten it comfortably tight. Some ankle holsters are one piece and others are two piece. If yours is a two piece then you'll fasten the belt around your axle first and then attach the holster to the belt.
Slide the gun into the holster and if the holster is equipped with a strap that goes over the handle or hammer; latch it.
Slide your pant leg down over the gun and holster to conceal it. You may have to try different pants until the holster isn't noticeable. It should be high enough on your ankle to not be seen when you sit down and your pant legs ride up.
Torso Holsters
Wrap the holster belt around your torso. This belt wraps tight around your rib cage just below your sternum.
Slide the holster onto the belt and position it where you can reach it with your dominant hand.
Adjust your clothing over the holster so it isn't obvious that you're carrying.
Clothing or Off-body Holsters
Place the holster in so that the end of the gun handle is easy to access.
Keep the pocket of the suitcase or purse easily accessible at all times.
Adjust the items around the holster so that the gun is inconspicuous.
