Eotech produces holographic sights for a variety of weapons, including the government model 1911 pistol. All Eotech sights attach to weapons using a Weaver rail-mount system. To mount the sight to a model 1911 pistol, you must install a Weaver rail-mount that sits over the top of the pistol's slide. This kind of mount requires that the lower receiver be drilled and tapped by a competent gunsmith. Before installing your Eotech sight, make absolutely sure that your pistol is unloaded.

Loosen the mounting retention screws with a 7/64-inch Allen wrench. The screws are located along the sight's bottom on the right-hand side. Do not remove the screws.

Position your sight on the rail mount. The retention screws must be within the slots that are cut diagonally across the mount.

Slightly push the mount forward, so the retention screws are up against the front surface of the slots,. Securely tighten the retention screws.
