RIfle Specifications Check
The Kentucky Long Rifle has a bore size of .50 caliber. The rifle's barrel is between 42 and 48 inches long.
Grooves are cut into the inside lining of the rifle that spin the bullets as they are shot from the rifle. The rifle's stock and barrel are created from maple.
One pound of lead can produce 70 to 120 balls used as bullets. The rifle has the ability to fire deadly rounds up to 200 yards away.
Rifle Characteristics Check
Powder is poured down the muzzle of the Kentucky Long Rifle. The bullet or ball is also loaded into the muzzle.
The rifle has a distinct flintlock. A cock hammer clamps the flint in place. The cock hammer snaps forward when you pull the trigger. It makes an L-shape, causing the flint to strike the frizzen.
The flintlock action creates sparks and ignites the powder located in the flash pan. A steel-faced frazzle covers the flash pan, which is opened up after the frizzen is struck.
