How to Adjust the Rear Laser on a Glock 27

The Glock model 27 is a subcompact pistol chambered for the .40 caliber bullet. Having a laser sight on your pistol can greatly enhance your accuracy, and be very intimidating to a potential aggressor. Rear laser-sights for the Glock 27 may be mounted on the side of the grip; some versions replace the pistol's rear sight. The sight adjustment procedure is identical for both varieties.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up a target at a range of approximately 50 feet. Aim your laser at the center of the target and and fire five bullets. Make sure the shots are well aimed and controlled.

    • 2

Check your target and mark the center of your shot group. Determine the adjustment necessary to "move" the shot group to the center of your target. If your group is 2 inches lower and 2 inches to the right of the center, then the sight needs to be adjusted 2 inches higher and 2 inches to the left.

    • 3

Insert the provided Allen wrench in the small hex screw on the top of the sight to adjust the sight's elevation. Turning the screw clockwise will raise the laser; turning it counterclockwise will lower it. Adjust the hex screw on the side of the sight to adjust for windage; clockwise will bring the sight right and counterclockwise left. Fire another five bullets and check the location of the shot group. Repeat the process if further adjustments are necessary.
