How to Accurize the Glock

Glock is known for the reasonable accuracy of the pistol as it comes new in the box, but there are always shooters who like to tinker with a gun to improve performance. The Glock line of handguns are designed to "drop in" parts. This allows an owner to very easily modify one to create a personal gun. A number of manufacturers offer custom parts.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the magazine and unload the Glock. Check the chamber to ensure no cartridge is present.

    • 2

Hold the slide and pull it back while releasing the slide-stop lever. Close the action at the same time.

    • 3

Point the gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger. You should hear the sound of the firing pin moving. Keep the trigger back and move the slide back no more than 1/4-inch.

    • 4

Release the trigger and push the sides of the slide lock down. Push the slide toward the front and pull it from the grip.

    • 5

Carefully push the recoil spring forward, being careful not to let it fly off into the air. Remove the barrel

    • 6

Slide the trigger assembly off its supports and drop in a new one from a manufacturer. Repeat the assembly in reverse to reassemble the Glock.
