Ketchup
Place a squirt of ketchup on a clean dry cloth. Rub the ketchup into the brass rifle.
Dampen a second cloth and clean any residual ketchup from the rifle, being sure to get into the nicks and crannies. Buff the rifle dry until it shines.
Measure 1/2-cup white vinegar into a bowl. Dissolve 1-tsp. salt into the vinegar. Make a thick paste by adding flour. Stir well.
Rub the paste into the brass rifle. Allow the mixture to rest for approximately 10 minutes. Rinse away the paste and buff to a shine.
