How to Stipple a Glock

Your Glock pistol's handle can be quite difficult to use if it is often slippery or does not provide a steady grip. While you can easily buy a firm grip for the handle of your Glock pistol, over time this may feel slightly uncomfortable in your hands. Your best bet is to stipple your Glock grip with a soldering iron. This will provide the grip of the gun with a newly textured surface by simply burning the plastic to achieve a particular form. You can do this process at home in a few minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove any ammunition in the gun to ensure safety while you stipple the Glock. Take out your Glock pistol's magazine or the metal receptacle in its cartridge in order to clean its chamber or the gun part that receives the charge.

    • 2

Hold on to the grip of the Glock pistol and pull it out by pressing the button at the gun's side. This should separate the grip from the gun slide. Some guns may require you to use a trigger lock on the trigger for you to remove the slide.

    • 3

Place the gun on your working table. Draw out the area of the specific area on the Glock pistol that you wish to stipple with your chalk. You can mark out any area on the grip that you wish to stipple.

    • 4

Heat the soldering iron for a few minutes, and apply its tip on the gun's plastic grip for a quick second. Do this to the entire perimeter marked with the chalk, filling the spaces inside the marks with quicker applications to the plastic grip. This will form some texture on the plastic grip. Be sure that you do it in quick touches so as not to thoroughly melt any part of the grip.

Polish the stippled grip using your sanding block until you are able to hold it comfortably in your hands.
