Instructions for a Remington Ghost

Remington ghost rings refer to the sight system commonly used on Remington tactical shotguns. Ghost rings are also referred to "peep sights" since the way you use them is by peeping through the rear sight at your target. These kinds of sights are commonly found on military rifles and tactical shotguns and generally considered the easiest to use for acquiring a target. The basic configuration of the sights are a round rear sight with a hole in the center and a post front sight. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation and windage.

Instructions

    • 1

Point your Remington tactical shotgun at your target and look through the ring of the rear sight.

    • 2

Focus your vision on the front sight, this will cause the edges of the rear sight to appear "ghost like" in your peripheral vision, which is the origin of the name.

    • 3

Align the top of your front sight with where you wish to hit the target and position the top of your front sight so it appears in the center of the rear sight. An advantage of this kind of sight is that you are given a fuller view of your target than you would with open sights, which obscure your view of anything below your desired point of aim.
