How to Center the Laser Boresighter

Using a laser boresighter is a great way to quickly and accurately sight-in your scope without having to fire your rifle. Laser boresighters are placed into the bore of the rifle barrel, where they project a beam indicating the rifle's projected point of impact. You then zero-in your scope by adjusting the crosshairs to intersect on the beam. For the laser to accurately project its beam, the boresighter must be properly centered in the barrel.

Choose the appropriate caliber adapter for the bore of your rifle. Laser boresighters are adaptable for calibers from .22 to .50. To provide stability to the boresighter, the proper adapter must be attached to the end of the boresighter stem.

Position the plastic caliber adapter over the open screw hole on the tip of the stem and place the provided screw through the hole in the adapter and into the screw hole. Screw it into position with your small flat-head screwdriver.

Place the stem down the barrel as far as it will go. The neck of the boresighter is tapered and will stop when it contacts the sides of the barrel. Your laser boresighter is now centered in the barrel.
