How to Remove the Front Tritium Sight From an 870 Barrel

The Remington 870 is a pump-action shotgun that is immensely popular among sport shooters and hunters. If your 870 is equipped with a Tritium sight that you wish to replace or remove, you can remove it without the aid of a gunsmith. Tritium is a low-grade radioactive material that glows in the dark, which some shooters may find distracting. The sight on a typical 870 shotgun consists of a single front post, which serves as a reference as you point the barrel at your target.
