Often Modified
The inexpensive Armscor is often used as a base configuration for enthusiasts who like to do their own upgrades. Because it is compatible with the standard 1911 configuration it is easy to swap parts in and out.
Two Calibers
Armscor makes the 1911 in two configurations, the original .45 ACP and the softer-shooting .38 Super. The .38 is used by shooters who have difficultly handling the recoil of the .45.
Match Version
A match version of the 1911 is designed for shooters who want a higher-quality firearm, and with greater accuracy from the factory. It is often used in competition, which is why it is referred to as a match version.
