Armscor Rock Island 1911 Pistol Compatibility

The Armscor Rock Island 1911 pistol is made in the Philippines. It is a copy of the Colt 1911 1A pistol originally made for the United States Army. The firearm is made to the original military specifications of the 1911 and is considered an inexpensive but well-made clone.
  1. Often Modified

    • The inexpensive Armscor is often used as a base configuration for enthusiasts who like to do their own upgrades. Because it is compatible with the standard 1911 configuration it is easy to swap parts in and out.

    Two Calibers

    • Armscor makes the 1911 in two configurations, the original .45 ACP and the softer-shooting .38 Super. The .38 is used by shooters who have difficultly handling the recoil of the .45.

    Match Version

    • A match version of the 1911 is designed for shooters who want a higher-quality firearm, and with greater accuracy from the factory. It is often used in competition, which is why it is referred to as a match version.
