Instructions
Ensure the gun is not loaded. First, press the magazine catch next to the trigger guard; the magazine will slide out. Pull the slide back and inspect the chamber to make sure there is no round in it. Then return the slide to the forward position.
Point the Glock in a safe direction and pull the trigger. Then, while holding the Glock in one hand, use the other hand to pull the slide back slightly, approximately 1/8 inch.
Push the slide lock down so you can release the slide. The slide lock is located on the side of the Glock, just above the trigger. The slide should now slide off and detach from the lower receiver.
Turn the slide over and remove the recoil by pushing it forward and up. Take caution, as it is spring loaded.
Move the barrel forward in the slide, grab it by the back end and lift it out. The Glock pistol is now disassembled and ready to be cleaned.
