How to Mount a Scope on a Gamo Varmint Hunter

The Gamo Varmint Hunter is a powerful air rifle, capable of firing a .117-caliber pellet at 1,200 feet per second, making the rifle an excellent choice for small-game hunting as well as for target practice. The rifle comes standard with a 4-power fixed scope and a laser sight and flashlight affixed to the scope. If your rifle is missing the scope or you wish to mount a new one, you can use the 3/8-inch base cut into the rifle.

Instructions

    • 1

Inspect the air rifle to make sure that it is unloaded.

    • 2

Loosen the retention screws at the base of the scope rings, allowing the right side to move outward.

    • 3

Place the inside of the left side of the scope mounts into the rifle's left groove. Align the right side of the mount with the right groove.

    • 4

Tighten the retention screws, drawing in the right side of the mount and securing them to the rifle.
