How to Adjust a Tasco World Class Scope

Tasco World Class scopes are high-quality but relatively inexpensive optics. There are models for nearly any type of shooting that you're likely to do, from short range to long range. The long-range models allow the shooter to adjust for parallax error, the illusion of target movement often encountered when viewing a distant object with the scope on high magnification. Certain models have with illuminated reticles, which can help you acquire targets in low-light conditions.

Instructions

    • 1

Adjust your cross-hairs (reticles) to the rifle's projected point of impact by using the adjustment dials located at the center of the scope's body. To adjust the crosshair elevation, rotate the dial on top of the scope counterclockwise for up and clockwise for down. To adjust for windage -- the horizontal plane -- rotate the dial on the right side of the scope counterclockwise for right and clockwise for left.

Adjust your scope's magnification by setting the variable power-ring -- located on the eyepiece -- to the desired magnification power.

    • 3

Adjust for parallax error -- if your scope is so equipped -- by setting the objective bell to the known distance of your target. Most scopes are preset for optimum parallax reduction at 100 yards.

    • 4

Adjust the illumination level of your scope's crosshairs by adjusting the dial right above your viewfinder. When set to zero, the illumination is off and gradually increases in intensity as the numbers increase.
