How to Clean a Llama Mini Max

Pistol Disassembly.

  Remove the magazine by pressing the magazine release button on the left side of the pistol.

  Move the slide slightly backward, until the tab at the back of the slide stop is aligned with the notch in the slide. Press the slide stop bar, protruding from the right side of the pistol, so that it slides through the body of the weapon, and remove the slide stop.

  Push the slide forward and separate it from the grip. Turn the slide over and remove the recoil spring, recoil spring guide and the recoil spring plug. Pull the barrel out of the front of the slide.

Pistol Cleaning

  Put gun solvent on your brush and apply the solvent to the parts of the pistol. Use the brush to gently scrub off of any carbon buildup and to brush away any dirt or carbon particles. Wipe off the parts with a clean rag.

  Affix your bore brush to the cleaning rod and apply solvent to the brush. Place the brush inside the barrel and scrub the interior. When you're finished, remove the brush from the rod.

  Place a clean patch on the end of the cleaning rod and pass it through the barrel. Continue doing so until the patches come through clean.

  Put a small amount -- or as much as needed -- of gun oil on another clean rag and apply to all of the pistol's surfaces.

  Reassemble your Llama Mini Max pistol.
