How to Install a Scope Mount on a Taurus Raging Bull

The Taurus Raging Bull revolvers are large-frame handguns designed for big-game hunting. The powerful revolvers are chambered for big-bore bullets including the .454 Casull, considered by many to be the ultimate big-game hunting handgun bullet. You can increase the accuracy of the Raging Bull by mounting a scope to the top of the revolver. Installing the scope mount is not complicated, but first you must have screw holes drilled and tapped into the top of the handgun. This is best done by a gunsmith or a machinist. Unless you have the requisite equipment, skills and the knowledge, let a professional prepare the revolver for you.

     Have your rear sight removed and two 6-40 screw holes drilled and tapped into the top of your revolver in accordance with the holes on your sight mount.

     Position your mount on the rear sight and over the revolver's top strap -- the strip of metal over the cylinder where the screw holes have been placed.

     Screw the mount into position with the screws provided.
