Pros
Glock pistols are lightweight, simple in design and extremely reliable. The pistol features a "safe action" system, the series of internal safeties to keep the weapon uncocked unless being fired.
Cons
A disadvantage of the G27 is the absence of a manual safety. Unlike traditional pistols, which have a safety bar that must be disengaged to fire the pistol, the Glock relies totally on internal safeties. The disadvantage is that -- should it get into the wrong hands -- it can be fired by simply pulling the trigger.
Double Action Trigger
Whether this is a pro or con depends on your point of view. Glock pistols are designed to operate as double actions, meaning that a full trigger pull is required for every shot; unlike most traditional pistols which fire the first shot as a double action and the remaining shots in single action -- which require less trigger pull.
