Specifications for a Leupold M8 Scope

The American-based Leopold optics manufacturer has been in business since 1907 and developed many features that are now standard on scopes. The Leupold M8-4X Scope is designed to work with a .22-caliber rifle. The compact size allows it to fit on almost any sized rifle, and the black finish is glossy.
  1. Optics

    • The M8 has 4x magnification, which means the shooter is going to see the target at four times the normal size at that distance. The field of view is 25 feet at 100 yards, which which means the shooter will see everything that is approximately 12 feet to either side of the target.

    Size

    • The 1-inch tube is coated in magnesium fluoride, and it is 9.2 inches long with a weight of 7.5 oz. The reticle is fine duplex.

    Discontinued

    • The Leupold M8-4X is a discontinued scope, and new-in-the-box models are hard to find.
